MCDONALD’S PROMOTES NEWMAN’S OWN COFFEE IN NEW ENGLAND
Green Mountain Coffee Kiosk Distributes Samples to Mall Visitors
In anticipation for the holiday shopping season, Arnold Worldwide called on Turtle Transit to build a sampling kiosk shaped like a giant McDonald’s Green Mountain coffee cup. Turtle fabricated the 8’ tall coffee cup using lightweight materials and designed the kiosk to break into separate pieces for easy set-up and transport. A removable countertop mounted in the center of the kiosk displayed three coffee cambros containing Newman’s Own organic coffee. Turtle wrapped the kiosk in vibrant graphics to give it the appearance of a real McDonald’s coffee cup.
The exhibit program is designed to target New Englander’s who can purchase the regionalized Newman’s Own coffee at local McDonalds restaurants. The coffee dispensing kiosk will be displayed at several malls and retail stores in and around the New England region. The cup will be set-up in close proximity to McDonalds point-of-sale locations, and brand ambassadors will distribute coffee samples to consumers busy shopping for the holidays. The Green Mountain kiosk will distribute free samples of coffee throughout December.

GM CRUISES DOWN MAIN STREET
Custom Registration Kiosks Offer Exclusive Drive Time to Event Attendees
General Motors’ much anticipated “Main Street in Motion,” a one-of-a kind driving event touring 23 cities across the country, will offer consumers the opportunity to test drive more than 70 vehicles in one location. Bi Worldwide, the program’s activation agency, wanted to register multiple consumers at the same time for exclusive vehicle drive time. The agency asked Turtle Transit to design a fleet of interactive kiosks to help assist Main Street personnel in registering consumers at events.
Turtle custom built 11 registration kiosks for GM’s National tour. The kiosk frames were powder coated to give it a metallic textured look, and included interchangeable graphic panels for swapping out brand messages on tour. This provided tour staff the ability to swap out promotional graphic panels with basic registration panels if an event offered more foot traffic than estimated. The kiosk countertops displayed touchscreen computers for registering attendees at events. Turtle’s craftsmen fabricated interior cabinets to store materials that are accessible by rear entry doors.
Turtle built custom literature rack holders which hung on the rear doors during activation mode. Tour staff used the rack holders to organize and display branded wristband giveaways. To prevent damage during its 23-city tour, Turtle fabricated custom shipping crates to store the kiosks during transit. The “Main Street in Motion” tour will launch in California on December 2nd. General Motors’ expects to see thousands of consumers test driving the all new Chevy Volt, GM’s first electric car.
