TURTLE TRANSIT ANSWERS CALL OF DUTY
Turtle Part of the Largest Video Game Launch of the Decade

For the most highly anticipated video game release of the year, “Call of Duty Modern Warfare," Boston agency Universal Consulting Group launched an outdoor event in New York City’s Union Square Park. UCG’s objective was to activate a full-scale military experience in the heart of NYC for a midnight launch promoting the virtual war game. Turtle Transit assisted UCG in designing a 75’ X 30’ footprint in Union Square Park.

Turtle helped UCG transform a tented structure into an urban war zone. To give the structure a bunker-like look and feel, Turtle fabricated aluminum walls that surrounded the exterior of the tent. Turtle then installed plexi glass panels and vinyl graphics to the exterior walls to complete the finished look of a military bunker.

Turtle installed additional graphic signage on the exterior walls, including tent graphics mounted on the roof structure to reinforce the Call of Duty release. Turtle also provided military netting and fabricated pipe scaffolding for the entrance of the tented structure, creating a modern industrial feel to the military experience.

Inside the event, UCG brand partners provided a wired DJ Stage, 54 integrated multi-player Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming kiosks, and overhead HD video displays. The structure could handle over 1,000 gamers per hour, and also included a VIP tented area with a bar lounge. Celebrity musicians, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Questlove of the Roots, spun music for the event experience. More than 2,500 consumers visited the midnight event launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

TURTLE TRANSIT BREWS UP SECOND MCCAFE TOUR
Latest Line of Lattes Perk up Consumers

Since the premiere of the McCafe mobile sampling program, Arnold Worldwide has recorded tremendous success for their national tour. Turtle Transit first designed the sampling program back in the summer of ’08, which distributed samples and increased trial for the new café product line in an around the metro D.C area. The program consisted of a customized branded cargo van, kitchen serving trailer, and café kiosk. The tour vehicles provided interior water filtration systems, electrical service, refrigeration, and storage, which assisted brand ambassadors in the preparation of café samples for consumers.

As the McCafe vehicles visited new markets and had proven success distributing samples, Turtle was tasked with expanding its mobile fleet. In the early fall, Turtle collaborated with Arnold to design a new McCafe program. Considering the success of the launch program, Turtle designed an all new customized cargo van, kitchen serving trailer and café kiosk.

Turtle increased the size and height of its customized kitchen trailer, installed new drip coffee and smoothie systems, as well as an all new design for the café kiosk. Turtle fabricated the stylish café kiosk with display countertops, refrigeration, storage, vinyl graphics, and incorporated a sleek overhead awning with three dimensional signage.

With two sampling tours on the road, McDonalds is able to blanket the east coast with free samples of its new line of coffees and espressos. Turtle Transit is expected to refurbish the original McCafe mobile sampling program this winter.
