INTERACTIVE KIOSK STATIONS SERVES UP 15,000 CUPS OF COFFEE IN CHICAGO
Keurig Coffee Exhibit Brightens Consumers Morning Commute

To drive awareness for Keurig’s innovative single-cup brewing system and wide selection of gourmet coffee and tea, Turtle Transit designed a highly interactive exhibit program for experiential marketing agency, Street Attack. The agency collaborated with Boston-based advertising agency, Brand Content to develop an integrated marketing campaign using multiple channels of media, outdoor, and experiential marketing to promote Kuerig and its ongoing efforts to give back to local communities.

Street Attack held sampling events in Chicago’s Union Station, to brighten consumers busy commutes with free gourmet coffee and tea. The engaging exhibit program featured a massive        10’ X 20’ X 14’ sampling kiosk, that included two 5’ X 7’ satellite kiosks. The exhibit leveraged 40 Keurig brewing systems, which allowed consumers to brew and sample a selection of gourmet products.

Turtle Transit fabricated the exhibit program in-house at their state-of-the-art studios. The base of the kiosk stations were fabricated out of wood, and included storage areas for both the pump systems and water supply. Two wooden columns were fabricated inside the primary kiosk, which provided storage area and eletrical service to each individual Kuerig brewing system. Turtle fabricated an immersive steel truss mounted over the primary kiosk, and installed LED display lighting inside. The primary kiosk station also incorporated LCD TVs for consumers to watch promotional media while waiting in line to brew their free sample.

The exhibits primary and auxiliary kiosk stations were wrapped in bright vinyl graphics. Turtle installed large format graphics on each truss, including additional branded spot graphics throughout the exhibit. Turtle also fabricated two display cases that featured various Kuerig brewing systems. Commuters could check out the different brewing systems while sampling a coffee or tea. More than 4,000 consumers per day brewed and sampled from one of the sampling kiosk stations. The Keurig “Perfect Commute” exhibit program will distribute samples in Seattle, and hopefully many more locations in 2010!

NOVARTIS – VACCINATION ARE YOU IN?
Custom Medical Bus Travels to Schools to Vaccinate Kids

As the flu season approaches it’s critical for children in schools to stay healthy and not pass the flu onto others. To promote the importance of protecting children during this dangerous flu season, Stage Active Brand Marketing worked with Turtle Transit to design a custom vaccination bus for Novartis. The bus is scheduled to travel to various schools, educate the importance of staying healthy this winter season, and offer flu vaccinations to children.

Medical technicians from each scheduled location are donating their time to work with tour staff and administer flu shots to children whose parents requested the vaccination. To promote a positive message that it’s cool to stay healthy and be smart, Turtle designed a vibrant multi-colored vehicle wrap to engage children and get their interest in the flu vaccination. The wrap focused around portrait images of young hip adults with a repeated message to intrigue children’s interest – “Vaccination are you in?”

Turtle fabricated an exit door at the rear of the bus to keep traffic flow consistent and make it easy to manage for staff. Hardwood floors and pleasant wall laminates were installed inside the interior of the bus, which had a comforting look and feel for children. At the front-end of the bus, children would enter a reception area with comfortable office chairs aimed at a flat-screen LCD mounted on the wall. Children would sit and watch a video educating them on the importance of the flu vaccination this cold season. A door separated the reception area from the back-end of the bus, where the vaccination area was located.

Turtle installed four vaccination chairs in the back of the bus. Each chair was cordoned off with curtains for privacy at each station. Turtle also installed a custom shelving unit designed to carry medical supplies and a refrigerator to keep vaccinations viable. The Novartis medical bus will travel in November administering flu vaccinations to children at schools in New Jersey.
